We're looking forward to seeing you this Sunday!

First Time at Itasca Church of Christ?

It's always a little intimidating to visit a new church.

  • Will I get mobbed?
  • Will I be ignored?
  • Will I be pressured to do something I don't want to do?
  • Will somebody hand me a rattlesnake?

Don't worry.

Here in Itasca, we're a friendly group. We'll all be glad to see you, but you don't need to worry about being pressured or hounded. Also, we don't do snakes.

When and Where?

We have worship services twice on Sunday. 10:45 AM and 5:00 PM.

We hold Bible Study twice during the week: Sunday at 9:45 AM and Wednesday at 6:00 PM.

We're located at 303 East Monroe.
Google knows where that is.

Old School Directions:

Itasca is at Exit 8 on I-35W.
From there head west on Hwy 66/Main St.
We are one block north of Main St/Hwy 66, and one block east of Hill St/Hwy 81.

We have full RV hookups available for those who are passing through and need a place to stop for a bit.

What Should I Expect?

We are a small, growing, multi-generational, loving church family. When we gather, we feel it is important to focus on worshipping God, opening His Word, building one another up, and welcoming our guests. Our worship is simple and heartfelt. Our services usually last for about an hour.

We try to do things just the way we read about in the Bible. On Sundays we sing hymns, listen to the Bible being explained, pray, take communion (the Lord's Supper), and give to the church. About that giving thing: Toward the end of worship we pass a basket around, and we each give financially to help support the Lord's work. Don't feel like you have to put something in. You can just let the basket pass, and that's totally okay.

Bible Study lasts about 45 minutes. If you don't have a Bible, don't worry about it. We have extras. You might want to take notes, or not. Feel free to ask questions or just sit and listen.

Is There A Dress Code?

Not really. You'll see a wide range of dress, from scruffy work clothes to a nice suit and tie. Wear what you are comfortable with. It's not a fashion show. It's about God, so we try to keep our focus on Him, and we would love for you to be here with us!

What About My Kids?

Most of us have kids or grandkids. We totally understand. During Bible Study, we have special classes for kids of all ages. That allows them to get into God's Word in a way that is fun and engaging for them, while you can focus on diving deep into the Bible yourself.

During worship, we feel like it is a special time for us to be together as a family. We realize that sometimes kids make noise. We also have a nursery if you need to take a child out during worship. We want your kids to feel welcome, too!

Will I Be Pressured To...?

NOPE!

As our guest, we want you to feel comfortable, and in control of your experience. You are welcome to participate in singing and worshipping with us, or you can just observe. We won't make you wear a name tag or stand up or anything like that. We won't ask you to give anything. You won't have to say or do anything you don't want to.

We respect your privacy. We'd love to get to know you better, but if you don't want to give up your personal info, that's understandable. We do hope to earn your trust.

Feel free to ask any questions that you may have!
